The Center for Advocacy and Outreach The Center for Advocacy and Outreach at Blank Children's Hospital helps bring Blank Children's message beyond the walls with community outreach programs. These programs teach important lessons about safety and prevention focusing on improving the lives of children and families across the state. Some of the programs provided include:  Child Passenger Safety Bicycle Safety SAFE KIDS Coalition Pedestrian Safety Educational Programs and Displays Fire Safety  The Center for Advocacy and Outreach also provides medical education programs to Iowa's health care professionals and emergency medical services. The care a child receives immediately after an injury or illness is key to their recovery. It is vital that health care professionals across the state know important pediatric lifesaving techniques and feel comfortable with their skill set.
